Introduction
At MigaLabs, our mission has always been to strengthen Ethereum’s ecosystem through open-source infrastructure and data transparency. One of our key contributions to this effort is GotEth — an open-source Go-written client designed to index all validator-related duties, parameters, and transactions across Ethereum’s consensus and execution layers.
đź§ What is GotEth?
GotEth is a specialized open-source Ethereum indexer that collects and organizes validator and epoch-level data from both the consensus and execution layers. It stores this information in a series of ClickHouse tables, enabling efficient querying and analytics for all aspects of validator performance and network health.
This architecture allows anyone — from protocol developers to institutional staking providers — to analyze validator rewards, missed duties, inclusion rates, and more, using a scalable, high-performance data model. The resulting datasets serve as the backbone for various monitoring dashboards, research studies, and infrastructure tools in the Ethereum staking ecosystem.
đź§© From Research Prototype to Industry Standard
GotEth began as a research tool, built internally at MigaLabs to fetch validator rewards for specific epochs. What started as a lightweight prototype for research and experimentation has now evolved into one of the most used Ethereum consensus and execution layer indexers.
Over time, GotEth has matured into a production-grade system capable of processing large-scale validator datasets and providing real-time insights. Its modular, open-source design has enabled rapid adoption and contributions from the broader Ethereum community.

💡 Success Story: Stakely’s Validator Monitoring System
One of GotEth’s most impactful use cases comes from Stakely — a major staking provider operating over 248,000 ETH (~$1.1B) across protocols such as Lido, Stader, Swell, Stakewise, and Mellow.

Stakely’s infrastructure emphasizes geographic decentralization (spread across seven countries) and client diversity (with 16 different Ethereum client implementations). Managing this complexity requires extremely reliable performance metrics.
